Perfect location, fantastic, dedicated staff, I wish every hotel was like this place. The recommendation they provided for enigma tours for a day trip to machu picchu was perfect, we were also very impressed at their quality of service.

Just a one-minute (slightly uphill) walk from the plaza, this luxurious hotel is right in the middle of everything. Rooms are extremely comfortable and clean (but expensive, which is kind of an overall Cuzco problem); staff is very friendly and co-operative and breakfast is above average. Hotel looked after our belongings when we were doing the Inca Trail and had already put our luggage in our room when we got back!

I stayed with my family at the Tierra Viva Cusco for 3 nights in July 2011.The hotel staff clearly tried their utmost to please and make our stay enjoyable, especially in trying to accommodate my mother who has reduced mobility and who also encountered some problems adapting to Cusco's high altitude . Service overall is truly excellent and mostly beyond reproach. The included breakfast is good both on food quality, variety; and the croissants ares excellent. Tv reception is very good and (international) content programming are excellent. The Tierra Viva Cusco Plaza does present inside a distinctive character and that is something I do appreciate.

Very nice hotel - we only overnighted but would love to have stayed longer. Good choice for breakfast (relative to the other two we stayed in in Cusco), but don't expect full English choice. Great position, virtually on the main Plaza so you're in the heart of the action, but even so (and despite the fact that a stage and concert was going on in the Plaza and there are several bars across the anrrow street, and it being Saturday night) no noise filtered into our room which was great. There are great views over the terecotta roofs from a general lounge area and a small outside balcony area. Room and bathroom were great. Atmospheric sitting area on the lowest floor set in a covered courtyard with a real log fire for those chilly June starts to the day. Great!
Apart from no kettle in the room (not always a downside for people) the main entrance is on the fourth floor due to being located on a steep hill, and our room was on the ground (or first) floor. There are is no lift so beware. The porter did carry both of our heavy suitcases down to our room (one in each hand!) so a big thanks to him. As we're relatively fit this was not really a problem for us.
